BENGALURU: Two senior women IPS officers are yet again involved in an ugly spat, with one of them accusing the other of getting documents ‘stolen’ from her chamber and planning to conspire against her. The officer has also written to Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh regarding the incident.
Inspector General of Police (Internal Security Division) Roopa D Moudgil and Deputy Inspector General Vartika Katiyar had previously engaged in a spat at a meeting room in front of other senior officers. Now, it seems that there is no end to the spat.
In her letter to the chief secretary, Vartika Katiyar claimed that Roopa got three junior staffers to ‘steal’ some documents from her chamber and expressed apprehension that Roopa may forge the documents and conspire against her. She claimed that photos of the documents were shared on WhatsApp.
Further, Vartika Katiyar claimed that the key to her chamber was brought from the control room and has named three police personnel — Mallikarjun, Manjunath and Kiran and added that photos of the documents were taken with ill intention.
