Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the JD(S) candidate from Ramanagara, was taken to task by women during his campaign.

RAMANAGAR: A group of women from Doddabadigere village in Harohalli taluk took Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy to task over lack of development works in their village during his election campaign in Ramanagara Assembly constituency on Sunday.

They also warned they will not exercise their vote this time. A video clip of women arguing with Nikhil Kumaraswamy is now going viral on social media.

The women complained that they have no drinking water supply, no proper drainage system or basic infrastructure in Doddabadigere village. Nikhil’s mother Anitha Kumaraswamy performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a project, but it was not completed even after five years. “We are facing a lot of problems and hence, we have decided not to vote this time”, they can be heard saying in the video.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy patiently listened to their problems and promised to solve them.
