SHIVAMOGGA, RAMANAGARA: In continued instances of arguments in KSRTC buses over different issues, two women fought over a seat in a bus bound for Shivamogga from Sagar while a youth got into an argument with the conductor over not stopping the bus near Nidaghatta close to Maddur, on Friday night.
Two women on a bus from Sagar to Shivamogga started arguing over occupying a seat, much to the discomfiture of the other passengers and bus crew. One of the women was travelling with her family, including a small child.
Despite the other passengers, the bus driver and conductor requesting the women to end their argument, they continued trading barbs. Fed up, the driver steered the bus to a police station where the two women were disembarked and the bus proceeded on its journey.
In Ramanagara district, a youth got into verbal duel with the KSRTC bus conductor (KA09-F 5404) requested that he be allowed to get off near Nidaghatta close to Maddur. The conductor did not stop the bus as it was not a scheduled stop and told the youth he can alight at Channapatna, leading to a fracas.
In the heat of the argument, the bus conductor also held the youth by the scruff of his collar. In a video doing the rounds, a woman passenger can be heard requesting both parties to calm down and to allow the youth to alight. When the youth made an attempt to jump off the moving bus by opening the door, the driver stopped the bus and the youth finally got off.
