Woman’s body found at banana plantation in Mysuru; Police suspect rape and murder

MYSURU:  A woman’s body was found in a banana plantation in Gattavadi village in Nanjangud taluk on Saturday, with the police suspecting rape and murder. The deceased was identified as Shashikala (38), a resident of Gattavadi village.

The owner of the plantation, Nanjundappa alias Siddalingappa, has gone missing from the village since the case came to light. Nanjangud Deputy SP Raghu, Police Sub-Inspectors Lakshmikant Koli and Chethan Kumar visited the spot and are investigating the matter.
