KARWAR: A woman threw her six-year-old child into a crocodile-infested river in anger after a quarrel with her husband at Halamadi in Dandeli taluk of Uttara Kannada district. The accused is Savitri and the victim is child Vinod.
Savitri was angry with her husband Ravikumar over a trivial reason and started an argument. She then threw the child into the crocodile-infested river near their house. During questioning by the police, she admitted to the crime and repented her act.
Later, police searched for the child and the body was found in a crocodile’s mouth. A case has been registered at the Dandeli police station in this connnection.
