CHIKKABALLAPUR: A woman software professional hailing from Tamil Nadu and a resident of Kadugodi in Bengaluru, was arrested by the Chikkaballapur Rural police for allegedly attacking two bike riders with a knife on the highway after they questioned her about her erratic riding.
Rimbika Kumari was reportedly riding her scooter erratically on the highway when the bike riders, Nikhil and Narasimhamurthy, approached her and asked her to drive properly. Rimbika allegedly suddenly pulled out a knife and attacked the two men. Nikhil sustained serious injuries on his hand while Narasimhamurthy received minor injuries.
“She was riding erratically and there were some other riders also. She was wearing headphones and not giving way to a lorry. When we told her about it, she suddenly took out a knife and attacked me and didn’t speak anything. She also kicked some people who gathered around”, said Nikhil.

Locals caught hold of the woman and handed her over to the Chikkaballapur Rural police. The incident was captured on CCTV camera. Rimbika claimed that the men were following her and behaving inappropriately, which led her to attack them. However, the police are investigating the matter further.
Rimbika is said to be a software professional and was reportedly not in a stable mental state. She is currently in police custody, and further investigation is under way.
