MYSURU: A mother-son duo died instantly after coming in contact with a live electric wire Emmekoppalu village in Hunsur taluk on Tuesday evening. The deceased were identified as Neelamma (39) and Harish (19). Neelamma was first electrocuted and Harish rushed to save her, but both died.
A live wire snapped and had fallen on the ground and Neelamma and Harish were electrocuted while working in their field. The police have registered a case, and the relatives of the victims have demanded compensation, alleging negligence on the part of the power utility.
The incident has sparked widespread concern, with many demanding action against those responsible. The authorities have been urged to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future and provide adequate compensation to the families of the victims.
