Nagaraj, who didn’t have parking space at his house, decided to leave his car and two scooters at the house of Kumari at Navilu Nagar in Byadarahalli when, in May, he decided to go to his hometown for two months. When he came back, he was shocked to learn that his car had been sold off by Kumari.

The woman had managed to convince Nagaraj that bank recovery agents had seized the car over non-payment of EMIs. However, Nagaraj was stupefied when he found his car being driven around by someone else. It was only after he stopped the car driver and enquired that he came to know what had transpired.

The Byadarahalli police have registered a case against Kumari and are investigating.
