BENGALURU: A woman died on the spot after she was run over by a car when she fell on the road after her two-wheeler collided with a BMTC electric bus near the Ullal lake on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Monika (25).
In CCTV footage available from the bus (KA 51AK 0597) which was plying on route 234E/5, it can be seen that Monika’s two-wheeler crashed against the bus. When she falls on to the road, a car coming from behind runs over her, killing her on the spot.
The BMTC also put out a statement saying the accident occurred abour 9.45 am when the woman two-wheeler rider collided with the bus and a car ran over her. The Jnanabharathi traffic police visited the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered in this regard.
