BENGALURU:A woman committed suicide by dousing herself in petrol and setting herself afire due to alleged harassment by her husband at Akshayanagar in Hulimavu. The deceased has been identified as Anusha.
Anusha’s husband Srihari was allegedly showing her obscene videos on his mobile phone and asking her to cooperate. He is said to be in a relationship with another woman, and when Anusha questioned him about it, he started harassing her. He had been torturing her for divorce for the past two months. Due to this, Anusha was fed up and committed suicide.
Srihari and Anusha were married for five years and have a child together. Despite this, Srihari was having an affair with other women. Anusha had told her husband that she would pour petrol on herself and set herself on fire through a video call from the bathroom.
The family members of the deceased Anusha have blamed Srihari for her death. The police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
