HAVERI: A woman, who was employed under the employment guarantee scheme, collapsed and died while working at Sattagihalli village in Rattihalli taluk on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Renukamma Ningappa Kurubara (63).
The Shiragambi gram panchayat had taken up desilting work at a lake under the employment guarantee scheme. Renukamma, who was working, suddenly collapsed and died. Rattihalli taluk panchayat and police officials visited the spot. A case has been registered at the Hirekerur police station.
