Woman, lover held for killing husband

BENGALURU: A woman and her lover were arrested for murdering her husband who had questioned her extra-marital affair, at Vadderahalli on Saturday.

Rakesh Tomang (52) was murdered by his wife and her lover on November 6.

The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Tomang (52). Police investigation revealed that Devi Tomang (46) and Zainul Alibabu (28) were in an extra-marital relationship. Devi had challenged her lover to kill her husband. She hid him in the store room for nine days to kill her husband.

On November 6, Devi got Rakesh to drink alcohol and fed him chicken kebab. He was later strangled to death. The next day, she pretended that he had committed suicide by consuming poison. But the post-mortem report revealed that he was strangulated to death.

Devi Tomang and Zainul Alibabu were in an extra-marital relationship and murdered her husband.

After the murder, Devi sent Rs 50,000 from Rakesh’s Phonepay account to Zainul, bought a new SIM card in her name and gave it to her lover. When the police checked Devi’s phone call details and bank account information, they realised it was a pre-planned murder and arrested both.

A case has been registered at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station and the duo was arrested on Saturday.

A case has been registered at Vidyaranyapuram police station. During questioning, Devi revealed that her husband consumed excessive alcohol and had low sexual desire. He was a hurdle to her exramarital relationship and hence, she got him eliminated. Further investigation is on.
