TUMAKURU: A woman stabbed her husband to death with a dagger for opposing her illicit relationship and tried to portray it as an accident. She has, however, been arrested by the police. The deceased is Prakash (30) from Kalaburagi while the killer wife is Harshita.
Harshita and her relatives stabbed Prakash to death at Mallekavu village with a dagger and then tried to make it look like an accident. However, the Koratagere police suspected it to be a murder after they found scars and stab marks on the chest. The murder came to light when Harshita was arrested and interrogated. The police are now on the lookout for her brother and another person.
Prakash, who worked at a post office on a contractual basis, and Harshitha had fallen in love and got married three years ago. They also have a child. It is learnt that Harshitha was having an illicit relationship with another man and her husband was opposed to it. Hence, she killed her husband.
