CHITRADURGA: A woman inflicted burn injuries on her eight-year-old son from her first marriage, on his hands and legs, allegedly as she was angry with her former husband. The incident occurred five days ago at Kavadigarahatti in the taluk.
Nagma got married to Anila (Mubarak), but the couple did not have any children for four years, resulting in domestic disputes. Later on, Nagma gave birth to a boy child, but the differences did not go away and the couple got divorced. Both married for a second time soon after.
But even seven after seven years of divorce, Nagma takes out her anger on the son whenever she sees her former husband, who lives in the same locality, according to the boy’s grandmother Shamshad. Five days ago, Nagma inflicted burn injuries on the boy’s hand and leg, Mubarak’s mother said.
According to Shamshad, Nagma has domestic disputes with her second husband Irfan too and has been torturing her son regularly. “Unable to bear the torture of his mother, he had come to our house and highlighted the torture”, she claimed.
In a video, some women can be seen examining the boy’s wounds and also the previous wounds. In the video, the boy claims that he is tortured by his mother and grandmother. The incident occurred in the limits of the Chitradurga women’s police station.
