BENGALURU: A woman had an altercation with traffic police on Magadi Road over her friend, who was riding pillion, traveling without wearing a helmet.
The rider was wearing a helmet, but her friend was without a helmet. The traffic police stopped the two-wheeler and asked the rider to pay a fine. However, the woman refused and got into an argument with the police.
When the police checked, the total fine that the rider had run up was Rs 15,000. Despite being asked to pay even Rs 500, she refused, took the bike and fled the scene. The police have imposed a fine for not wearing a helmet and are taking further action.
