BENGALURU: A 29-year-old woman was found hanging in her residence at Suddaguntepalya on Monday. The family members alleged that her husband killed her and hanged her.
The deceased has been identified as Khatija Kubra. She was married to Mehaboob Parish, and he abused her daily for belonging to a poor background. The police suspected that her husband beat his wife and later hung her. The police have taken Mehaboob Parish, his father and his sister into custody.
A case has been registered at the Suddagunteplaya police station and police are investigating further.
“My daughter and Mehaboob got married 15 years ago. He always tortured my daughter for belonging to a poor family. He abused her and his father sexually abused her. She complained about this to her husband, but he threw her out of the house and his father even threatened her. He has extramarital affair for many years. We suspect that he beat her and hung her. Later, we got a call that she had died. When we went to the station, he was calm and not bothered by her death”, said Javed Ullah Khan, Khatija’s father.
