BENGALURU: A 27-year-old woman ended her life by jumping from the 10th floor balcony of an apartment building at Yelahanka on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Amrita Sharma, hailing from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
Amrita jumped from the building around 10 pm on Friday. Some locals shifted her to a hospital immediately, but she did not respond to treatment and died. She was employed with First American (India) Pvt Ltd, a Global Capability Center (GCC) of the First American Financial Corporation, USA.
Amrita got married two years ago and had recently lost her father due to which she was depressed. When other members of her family were in the living room, Amrutha was in the kitchen and fell from the adjacent balcony.
The deceased woman’s mother resides in Lucknow and the family members have lodged a complaint with the Yelahanka New Town police in connection with her death.
