KALABURAGI: An unidentified woman dropped a Rs 20 note in a temple donation box after scribbling on it praying for her mother-in-law’s early death. The issue came to light when the donation box was opened to count the money.
The incident was reported at the Shri Ghattaragi Bhagyawanti Devi Temple in Afzalpur and the woman is believed to have visited the temple a couple of months ago. On the currency note, she had scribbled, “Mother, let my mother-in-law die soon, mother (Taayi, namma atte bega saayabeku, taayi)”.
The note was found by the temple authorities when the donation box was opened on Thursday. The woman’s prayer has gone viral on social media with people wondering who she is as she wants her mother-in-law dead soon.
