BALLARI: A woman died after delivering a male child through C-section at the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) hospital. Her family has alleged medical negligence and created a ruckus in front of the hospital on Thursday.
Suhana (22), a resident of Genakal village in Kurugod taluk, had got admitted to VIMS two days ago and was reportedly healthy even after delivery. However, her blood pressure dropped due to bleeding, according to her parents who alleged medical negligence.
The family claimed that doctors did not treat Suhana after delivery and did not even let them see her. Even after she had died, the doctors told the parents that she was healthy, they alleged. Doctors claimed that she had bled and her blood pressure dropped, but if they had treated her on time, she would have survived, they added.
