MANDYA: A woman was crushed to death by a speeding bus which was entering the KSRTC bus stand here early today morning. The deceased was identified as Pooja, hailing from Bengaluru.
In CCTV footage that is available, Pooja can be seen crossing the road and entering the bus stand when a speeding KSRTC bus (KA 11 F 0176) takes a sharp turn to enter, knocks her down and the rear wheel runs over her.
It is said that the victim Pooja, a resident of Adugodi in Bengaluru, had come to Mandya on some work and was entering the bus stand to take a bus to some other place when the incident occurred. The Mandya traffic police have arrested the driver Chandu Kumar and registered a case.
