BENGALURU: A woman civic worker was killed on the spot after a tipper ran over her in Vijayanagar when she was on her way to work on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Saroja (51), a resident of Srirampura.
The accident occurred around 6:30 am near Shivanahalli traffic signal when Saroja was on her way to work.
Soon after the accident, BBMP staff and municipal workers gathered at the accident site and demanded the arrest of the accused tipper driver. The Vijaynagar traffic police, who visited the spot, are investigating the incident and are on the lookout for the tipper driver.
