BENGALURU : A woman was arrested for brutally killing her pet dog in her flat at an apartment in Mahadevapura area. She stayed with the decomposed body for two days before being caught. The accused’s name is Triparna Paik.
The accused’s neighbour reported, a foul smell started coming from one of the flats of the apartment two or three days ago, and the neigbhours immediately informed the police. As soon as police received information and inspected the house, it came to light that the woman had brutally killed the dog she had kept.
Upon investigation, the police found the dead dog and learned about the woman’s disturbing act.
The BBMP authorities were informed, and the dog’s carcass was sent for post-mortem examination, which revealed that the dog had been subjected to torture before being killed.
The BBMP has filed a complaint against the woman with the Mahadevapura police, and an FIR has been registered. The police have started an investigation and have rescued two other dogs from the woman’s home.
