HASSAN: A woman who went out to her fields to put out a fire died after she was trapped in it, at Hachagodanahalli in Alur taluk on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Rathnamma (63).
On getting information about a fire in her fields, Rathnamma went there to put it out. However, she got caught in the massive fire and was burnt to death. The body was later shifted to a hospital in Alur.
This is the second such incident within in a week in the district. The Alur police visited the spot and have registered a case.
