BENGALURU: A woman, who had booked an Uber cab from Chikkanna Layout in Kammanahalli to Whitefield in the wee hours on January 27, was allegedly attacked and molested by two unidentified persons who were already in the cab. The Banaswadi police are on the lookout for the accused.
The woman had booked a cab around 2 am on January 27 and as soon as it arrived at the pickup point, she got in. However, two unidentified persons were already seated inside and on seeing them, she got off the cab and ran, according to her complaint.
One of the men chased her and pushed her to the ground by holding her neck while the other attempted to undress her and molested her, the complaint said. The Banaswadi police have registered a case and are investigating further.
