BENGALURU: A woman, who was allegedly fed up the continuous torture by her mother-in-law, asked a doctor to prescribe medicines that would kill her mother-in-law.

The woman sent a WhatsApp message to the doctor, Sunil, saying that her mother-in-law is very old and tortures her a lot. “How can I kill her? Will she die from one or two tablets?”.

The doctor was shocked to receive such a message and immediately informed the Sanjay Nagar police. The police are currently investigating the matter and trying to trace the woman.

When the woman asked for a tablet, the doctor advised that it is wrong to ask such question. Following this, the woman deleted the WhatsApp chat and blocked the doctor’s number. She then switched off her phone, and the police are trying to track her down.

The doctor had taken a screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation before the woman deleted the chat and blocked his number. The police are now investigating the matter and will take further action once they trace the woman.

Dr Sunil Kumar Hebby told Public TV and said that he was shocked to see the woman’s message. “When people have health issues, they usually ask about medications over the phone. But this was the first time in my 15-year medical career that someone asked about taking someone’s life”, he said.

The police are investigating this matter.
