BENGALURU: A woman has approached the Hennur police after she was cheated after taking a loan and threatened of rape by an acquaintance.
The victim was convinced by the accused Charles Richard to borrow a loan of Rs 3.71 lakh of which he took Rs 2.71 lakh. He had promised to repay the loan himself, but after paying a few EMIs, he stopped making payments.
When the woman questioned about it, he alleged threatened her of rape and threatened her that he would not pay the loan unless she agreed to have a physical relationship with him. He also threatened her that he would morph her photos and upload them on social media.
Unable to bear the harassment anymore, the woman approached the police. She has named Charles Richard and Andrew Agassi in her complaint. Further investigation is under way.
