BENGALURU: A woman and her accomplices have been accused of assaulting a businessman and damaging his car after waylaying him over old rivalry, in Kodigehalli police limits.
Akhil Hemadri, who is into car trade, was accused by one Ronit of cheating him. Following this, Akhil had lodged a complaint at the Yelahanka police station following which Ronit was arrested.
After his release on bail, Ronit constantly threatened Akhil and bade his time to attack the former. On Tuesday night, when Akhil was heading home after work, Ronit, along with Durga Sahana and a few others, followed Akhil, waylaid him near L&T Apartment and attacked him. They also damaged the car window.
A case has been registered at the Kodigehalli police station and further investigation is under way.
