UDUPI: Wellknown social worker Leeladhar Shetty and his wife Vasundhara ended their lives in a suicide pact by hanging at their residence in Kaup on Wednesday.
Leeladhar Shetty was popular in the religious and social circles. He was also a stage artist and led the Ranga Taranga theatre group. He had once even constested from Kaup Assembly constituency.
It is said that Leeladhar and his wife were upset over some domestic issue and decided to end their lives. The Kaup police have registered a case.
