BENGALURU: Well-known Kannada serial director and actor Syed Ashraf died after a cardiac arrest at the age of 42 on Monday morning.
He was quite popular on the small screen and had acted in devotionally-oriented and fantasy serials.
He also directed the popular serials ‘Amma Nagamma’, ‘Nagamani’, ‘Panduranga’, ‘Chakravaka’, ‘Thaka Dhimi Tha’, ‘Alugulimane’ and many others. He had also worked for a private studio for ten years.
Television actors B Suresha, Shailaja Nag, Karnataka Television Association president S V Shivakumar and several others have expressed condolences on his death.
The family members said that all necessary preparations were made for public viewing at his residence till noon, after which the last rites were performed.
