UDUPI: For a moment, it seemed like a stairway to the skies. A waterspout which appeared in the middle of the Papanashini river near Kidiyoor in Ambalapady was a sight to behold for the locals.
The waterspout seemed to suck water into the sky and the phenomenon was captured by locals on their mobile phones from the riverside.
The weather in Udupi has been erratic with rain, sunshine and wind. This could have caused the waterspout, locals feel.
