“The seer also said in the death note that he was depressed over the harassment. But he did not identify the person or mention the motive behind his taking the extreme step. A lot of rumors are spreading about this. The truth will be revealed once the investigation is completed. We cannot share much information about the investigation while the case is being investigated. There may be a chance of destroying evidence. We have no pressure in this case. Was Bande Mutt seer honeytrapped?

Many suspicions revolving around Basavalinga Swamiji Suicide case.

After the death note of Bande Mutt seer was shared on social media, many theories on what  prompted him to end his life are doing the rounds.

On the day before his death, the seer is learnt to have had a confidential meeting with another seer. His death note too indicates that he might have been honeytrapped.

According to the viral death note, the seer expressed concern over a conspiracy being hatched against him. “I have worked for Siddaganga Mutt with trust for 25 years. A woman was calling and harassing me for 6-7 months”, he wrote in the letter.

However, the police said that the death note circulating on social media is not genuine, though some lines are similar.

A few months ago, the body of Basavalinga Swami of Chilume Mutt was found in similar circumstances.
