MANDYA: A village accountant from Malavalli taluk in the district has gone missing, and it’s suspected that he may have jumped into the Cauvery River and taken his own life.
The village accountant, identified as VA Niranjan, was working at the Nadakacheri office in BG Pura. He was last seen in the office around 1 pm and later left on his bike.
His bike was found on the Kaveripura bridge in Kollegal, and it’s believed that he may have jumped into the river. The police and the fire brigade are continuing their search operation for Niranjan.
