Vijayapura’s Samaira is country’s youngest pilot after obtaining commercial licence at the age of 18

VIJAYAPURA: Eighteen-year-old Samaira from Vijayapura, has become the youngest in the country to obtain a commercial pilot licence (CPL).

Historic Vijayapura district has produced many notable personalities who have brought fame to the state and the country. Many individuals from the district have excelled in various fields such as sports, science and literature.

Samiara, who completed her education in Vijayapura, underwent six months pilot training in Delhi. She was inspired by Captain Tapesh Kumar, who became a pilot at the age of 25.

Samaira’s achievement has come in for praise from across the district, state and country. Her family is being hailed as a role model in empowering girls. Samaira’s achievement is also an inspiration to the younger generation. The family of Samaira is receiving congratulatory messages from all over following her achievement.
