Vijayanagara district police return stolen valuables worth Rs 2.15 crore to owners

BALLARI: In a significant achievement, the Vijayanagara district police have returned stolen valuables worth Rs 2.15 crore to their rightful owners, following a year-long operation.

A total of 244 cases of stolen property cost, valued at Rs 2,15,53,637, were seized during this period. The stolen items included a KSRTC bus, gold and silver articles, cows, buffaloes and other valuables.

The police successfully recovered the stolen items Rs 2.15 crore and returned them to their owners. In the meantime, cases of stolen property worth Rs 5,54,89,001 were reported, and the police have managed to recover items worth Rs 2,15,53,637.

The recovered items include 96 two-wheelers worth Rs 85,83,637, 18 pieces of gold ornaments worth Rs 42,31,200, 30 pieces of silver ornaments worth Rs 95,300, and 25 mobile phones worth Rs 2,05,000. These items have been handed over to their rightful owners.
