BENGALURU: The Basava Jaya Mrutyunjaya Swami blackmail case has taken a dramatic turn with the disappearance of the victim and the accused. The Vijayapura police are trying to locate them and have issued notices for questioning.
The victim, who had filed a complaint against Jayamrityunjaya Swami, is missing, and so are the accused. The police are investigating how the complaint was filed and who was behind it.
The woman who filed the complaint had approached the Women’s Commission and is now missing, possibly due to fear of arrest. The police are checking CCTV footage to track her down. A video allegedly shows the victim apologising to Jayamrityunjaya Swami, saying she made a mistake and won’t do it again, and asking for forgiveness.
The police have sealed the accused’s homes and left notices for them to appear for questioning. All accused have switched off their mobiles and are on the run.
