CHIKKAMAGALURU: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have called for a voluntary shutdown in Chikkamagaluru district to condemn the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir and the murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty in Mangaluru.

They claim that Pakistan-backed Muslims and Bangladeshi infiltrators are killing Hindus in various parts of the country, including at Pahalgam and in West Bengal. The Hindu organizations allege that Suhas Shetty was murdered solely because he was a Hindu, after months of plotting.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal have appealed to the public, shopkeepers and traders to support the shutdown and condemn the killings of Hindus. VHP district secretary Ranganath has requested people to observe the shutdown and show solidarity with the Hindu community.
