DAVANAGERE: The traffic police here have fined the owner of a two-wheeler Rs 25,000 after a minor was found to be riding the vehicle on Friday. The police have also cautioned parents not to let their minor children or those without driving licences to use vehicles.
The South traffic police were conducting routine checks on when the youth, riding a scooter near the dental college was flagged down. After he was found to be a minor, a case was registered.
The vehicle owner was then summoned to the police station and made to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 after which the vehicle was released with a warning not to let minors use it, police said.
