CHITRADURGA: Upset over domestic abuse from her alcoholic husband, a 28-year-old woman committed suicide along with her two children at a check dam near Malali village in Hosadurga taluk on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Arpita (28), a resident of Lambani Hatti in Janakal, her daughter Manasa (6) and son Madan (4). She was married to Manja Naika of Kondajji village in Hosdurga taluk eight years ago.
Manja Naika was always suspicious of Arpita and abused her every day after drinking alcohol. Upset over this, she recorded a selfie video narrating about the domestic abuse by her husband. She later jumped into a check dam along with her children and died.
A case has been registered at the Hosadurga police station. The fire brigade personnel recovered the bodies of the three from the check dam.
