BELAGAVI: A 28-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well as she was depressed over having no child even after many years of marriage in Sollapur village of Hukkeri taluk on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sudha Somanath Vajantri. Even after five to six years of marriage, she did not have any children. Upset over this, Sudha committed suicide by jumping into a wall on the outskirts of the village and died.
A case has been registered at the Sankeshwar police station. The police have visited the spot and taken up further investigation.
