Union Minister Kumaraswamy meets Railway Minister Vaishnaw, discusses pending rail projects

BENGALURU: Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi and requested to complete the delayed and ongoing railway projects in the state within a timeframe.

Kumaraswamy had a lengthy discussion with the Railway Minister regarding the approval of new railway lines and the provision of financial assistance. He appealed to take up the Bangalore-Satyamangala-Chamarajanagar (via Kanakapura-Malavalli route) railway project sanctioned during the tenure of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and complete it as soon as possible.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Kumaraswamy said he shared information with the Railway Minister to realize the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I am very happy that the minister has responded very positively”, he said.
