KOLAR: An unidentified man allegedly attacked a 75-year-old woman and attempted to rape at her house at Hungenahalli village in Malur taluk. The woman lives alone in her house on the outskirts of the village.
The accused allegedly entered her house and attacked her, but she managed to shout for help, causing him to flee the scene. The woman was taken to the government district hospital for medical examination and has filed a complaint with the Malur police station.
Kolar SP Nikhil B has visited the scene and said that a special team has been formed to track down the accused. A case has been registered at the Malur police station and further investigation is under way.
