BENGALURU: An undertrial who had escaped from Victoria Hospital has been caught by the police in Tumakuru. The escaped prisoner, Chandrashekhar, was caught by the police at the Tumkuuri bus station around 8:30 pm on Sunday night.
Chandrashekar was brought back to Bengaluru by the Parappana Agrahara central jail staff. He had escaped from the Victoria Trauma Centre, and a case was registered at the VVPuram police station.
The jail staff, led by Santosh Rathod, had taken him into custody. The VV Puram police and jail authorities had launched a search operation and traced the accused to Tumakuru. Chandrashekhar is currently in the VV Puram police station.
