HASSAN: Two youths were stabbed during a Ramanavami procession after a clash broke out between two communities in Channarayapatana on Thursday night.
The procession was passing through Jamia Masjid Road in the city on the occasion of Ramanavami when the clash broke. The assailants stabbed Murali and Harsha and fled. The injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Channarayapatana.
A case has been registered at the Channarayapatna Nagar police station. The police visited the place and have launched a search for the accused. They have also deployed police personnel in many parts of the district to prevent any untoward incidents.
