CHIKKABALLAPUR: Two youths who were popping wheelies on a two-wheeler died after their scooter collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Vijayapura in Devanahalli taluk of Bangalore Rural district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Arfaz and Manoj, both aged 22. Both died on the spot due to the impact. The act of the youths was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a roadside shop. They apparently popped a wheelie despite seeing the oncoming truck.
The Vijayapura police visited the spot and shifted the bodies to a private hospital in Devanahalli for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
