BIDAR: A two-year-old girl child, who was playing outside her house, was mauled by a stray dog at Gadiwan Galli in Basavakalyan on Tuesday. The child sustained serious injuries on the face, head and other parts of the body.
Asma Sameer Sheik was playing when she was viciously attacked by a stray dog. Hearing her screams, her parents rushed out and rescued her.
The girl was going to a shop and only some women were around at that time, said the girl’s uncle Samiullah Sheik.
The child was immediately rushed to a private hospital where she required 36 stitches for the wounds. She was later taken to the Kalaburagi district hospital for further treatment.
