Two women steal Rs 45,000 from woman’s bag at ATM in Channapatna

RAMANAGARA: Two women thieves stole Rs 45,000 from another woman at a Canara Bank ATM in Channapatna on Wednesday. The police are on the lookout for the accused.

Saraswathi, a resident of Menasiganahalli in Channapatna taluk, had pledged her ornaments at the Canara Bank branch for Rs 45,000. As she needed more money, she entered the ATM to withdraw cash.

In CCTV footage, two women can be seen standing behind Saraswathi and leaving the place after stealing the cash from her bag. The ATM had no security guard and a casae has been registered at the Channapatna women’s police station.
