BENGALURU: A two-wheeler rider died and his son sustained serious injuries after they were knocked down by a rashly driven car in T Dasarahalli near Jnanabharati recently. The accident occurred on January 28 and the rider died on February 3 without responding to treatment.
Sanjay Babu, along with his son Vedanth, was on his way to see his father when a WagonR car, driven by a woman, identified as Shubha, rammed his two-wheeler from behind and ran over them near T Dasarahalli.
Sanjay Babu sustained serious injuries on the hand, legs and spinal cord while Vedanth suffered four broken ribs and a broken left shoulder. The duo were admitted to a hospital by locals and doctors said Vedanth may require surgery.
Sanjay Babu died on February 3. The Peenya traffic police have arrested the car owner Shubha.
