Two tippers collide near Srirangapatna, several people at tea stall have lucky escape

MANDYA: Several people sitting at a tea stall by the side of the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway service road near T M Hosur had a lucky escape on Friday after two tipper trucks crashed into each other and one of the trucks stopped just inches away from the tea stall.

One of the trucks was exiting an underpass on its way towards T M Hosur when another loaded and speeding tipper, coming from Mandya crashed into into. The latter truck came to a stop just inches away from a tea stall while the other hit a parked car. The crew of both the tippers survived with minor injuries.

Several people who were inside the tea stall also had a lucky escape. The accident was captured on a CCTV camera. Locals said the unscientific speed breakers have led to several accidents earlier. The Srirangapatna Rural police have registered a case.
