BENGALURU: Two workers are battling for their lives after LPG leak in a shed at an industrial establishment at Kempalinganahalli near Nelamangala on Thursday. The victims are Bikari Naik (24) and Deepak Kumar Naik (26), hailing from Odisha.
As usual, Deepak turned on a stove at 6.30 am to prepare breakfast, but did not notice the LPG leaking from the cylinder. As soon as he used the lighter, there was an explosion and both were injured.
The management of Organic Industries Pvt Ltd, where the incident occurred, allegedly tried to cover up the case and admitted the two workers at Magnus Hospital in Nelamangala. Both have sustained serious injuries all over their bodies.
The hospital authorities too had not informed the police about the medico-legal case. The police took the hospital management to task and a case has been registered at the Nelamangala Rural police station.
