CHIKKABALLAPUR: Two students of the Morarji Desai Residential School at Devanayakanahalli in Devanahalli taluk died after they drowned in a water body in Channarayapatna taluk on Wednesday.
It is suspected that the toll may be higher and several students had got down in to the water.
The deceased were identified as Junaid and Santosh, both aged 14. While Junaid hailed from Razak Palya near Bagalur, Santosh hailed from Valagerepura in Hoskote taluk. The students had been on a picnic with their teachers when the incident occurred.
